Welcome to Rayhaan School Academy. These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our online educational platform, including all one-on-one classes in Tajweed, Quran, and Tafseer.
By registering an account, enrolling a student, or attending classes, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use our services.
1. Description of Services
Rayhaan School Academy provides live, online Islamic education primarily via secure video conferencing. Our services include assigning qualified tutors, providing access to educational materials, and tracking student progress.
2. User Accounts and Registration
- Parent-First Model: In compliance with our Privacy Policy and international child protection standards, all accounts for students under the age of 18 must be created and managed by a parent or legal guardian.
- Accuracy of Information: You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update such information to keep it accurate.
- Account Security: You are responsible for safeguarding your account login credentials. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
3. Class Policies: Scheduling, Attendance, and Cancellations
To maintain a high standard of education and respect the time of our instructors, the following policies apply:
- Punctuality: Students are expected to log into their virtual classroom on time. Tutors will wait for a maximum of 15 minutes. If a student does not arrive within this window, the class will be marked as a “No-Show.”
- Student Cancellations/Rescheduling: If you need to cancel or reschedule a class, you must provide at least 24 hours’ notice via the academy portal. Classes canceled with sufficient notice can be made up.
- No-Shows and Late Cancellations: Classes missed without prior notice or canceled past the allowed window are considered forfeited and are non-refundable.
- Tutor Absence: If a tutor is unable to attend a scheduled session, the academy will arrange a substitute tutor or offer a makeup class at no additional cost.
4. Payment, Billing, and Refunds
- Tuition Fees: Fees are billed on a recurring monthly subscription basis or as pre-paid class packages, depending on the plan selected during enrollment. Access to classes is contingent upon successful and timely payment.
- Payment Methods: We process payments through secure third-party gateways. We do not store your full financial information on our servers.
- Refund Policy for Classes: We strive for excellence in our educational services. Our refund policy for tuition is structured as follows:
- Satisfaction Guarantee (New Students): We offer a 100% money-back guarantee within the first 7 days of your initial enrollment, or upon the completion of your first two classes (whichever comes first). If you are unsatisfied for any reason during this period, you may request a full refund.
- Monthly Subscriptions: You may cancel your monthly subscription at any time to prevent future billing. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing cycle. We do not provide prorated refunds for unused classes within an active, billed month.
- Pre-paid Class Packages: If you purchase a bulk package of classes and wish to withdraw, you may request a refund for the unused classes within 30 days of the original purchase date. This refund will be subject to a 10% administrative processing fee. After 30 days, pre-paid classes are non-refundable but remain on your account as credits for up to 6 months.
- Academy or Technical Faults: If a tutor is permanently unavailable and we cannot provide a suitable replacement, or if documented technical failures on our platform prevent classes from taking place, a prorated refund or class credit will be issued for the missed sessions.
- Code of Conduct Violations: Accounts that are suspended or terminated due to violations of our Code of Conduct, including safety rules or unauthorized off-platform communication, are strictly ineligible for any refunds.
5. Digital Order Cancellations and Refund Processing
As a provider of digital online tutoring subscriptions, the following adapted policies apply to all purchases to align with your consumer rights:
- 14-Day Cancellation Policy: All subscription or class package orders can be cancelled within 14 days of purchase. All cancellations made within this 14-day window of the initial purchase will be processed free of charge.
- Cancellation Process: Cancellations or refund requests are to be requested directly through our website.
- Digital Delivery (No Shipping Fees): As our services are delivered entirely digitally online, no physical shipping or delivery fees apply to any orders or cancellations.
- Refund Method: Values for cancelled orders will be refunded through the same way of purchase (original payment method).
- Refund Processing Timeline: The refund will be processed in seven days from receiving the cancellation request. Please note that it varies according to the issuer’s policy as to when that amount will be reflected in the card holder balance.
- Service Delivery (Scheduling): “Delivery dates” for our services refer to your scheduled class times. These dates will be determined based on the schedule mode chosen upon placing your order. Please note that initial tutor assignment dates are estimated dates that can vary according to our teaching staff’s current scheduling backlog.
6. Code of Conduct and Platform Etiquette (Adab)
We strive to maintain an environment of mutual respect, learning, and Islamic etiquette.
- Appropriate Attire: Both students and tutors are required to dress modestly and appropriately for online Quranic instruction.
- Classroom Environment: Students should be in a quiet, well-lit room free from distractions to maximize the benefit of the session.
- Strict Prohibition of Off-Platform Communication: To ensure student safety and protect the academy’s operations, all communication between parents/students and tutors must remain on the Rayhaan School Academy platform. Exchanging personal phone numbers, email addresses, or social media accounts with tutors is strictly forbidden.
- Zero Tolerance for Abuse: Any form of harassment, abusive language, or inappropriate behavior by a student, parent, or tutor will result in immediate suspension or termination of the account without refund.
7. Intellectual Property and Recordings
- Academy Materials: All lesson plans, digital resources, and materials provided by Rayhaan School Academy remain the intellectual property of the academy and may not be distributed or sold.
- Session Recordings: As outlined in our Privacy Policy, live sessions may be recorded for quality assurance, safety, and educational review. These recordings are the property of Rayhaan School Academy and may not be downloaded, captured, or shared publicly by the user without explicit written permission.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Rayhaan School Academy shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or use, arising from your use of our platform, technical outages, or the conduct of any third party on the platform.
9. Termination of Services
Rayhaan School Academy reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to classes at our sole discretion, without notice or liability, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms, our Code of Conduct, or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new Terms on our website and updating the “Effective Date.”
